QuitNow is the FREE quit smoking program of the Government of British Columbia, delivered by the British Columbia Lung Association. 

When you register, we guide you through 5 easy steps:

1. NAMING YOUR REASONS FOR QUITTING
There are so many reasons to quit smoking: personal health, being a role model, saving money and more. Register for a Quit Plan and we'll help you identify your reasons for quitting. You can update the list at any time. Refer to it to stay motivated!
2. NAMING YOUR SMOKING TRIGGERS
Knowing your triggers helps you stay in control and avoid tricky situations. A Quit Plan can help you manage triggers and develop effective coping strategies. If your triggers change over time, so can your list - keeping your plan adaptable.
3. CHOOSING A QUIT SMOKING SUPPORT SERVICE
Our support services are proven to increase the chances of quitting for good. Register for a Quit Plan and we’ll connect you with a Quit Coach by phone, chat, or text support to give you the support you need, when you need it.
4. LEARNING ABOUT QUIT METHODS & MEDICATIONS
When combined with counselling, aids such as prescription medications and nicotine replacement therapy have been proven to increase your chances of quitting. We'll help explore your options and determine if you’re eligible for free quitting aids through the Pharmacare BC Smoking Cessation Program.
5. JOINING OUR ONLINE COMMUNITY
Friends, family and an online community can help you stay on track by reminding you of why you’re quitting. Share stories, find support, and get to know others in the process of quitting by exploring the QuitNow community forum and Facebook page.
