Acupuncture, hypnosis, and herbal medicine are approaches to quitting smoking that many people use.

While there are many anecdotal stories of success, there is not yet any conclusive scientific research to indicate that these approaches are any more effective than a placebo. That said, placebo can have a very powerful effect. If you believe that one of these alternative approaches will work, then there is a good chance it will.

Quitting smoking is ultimately a very personal journey, and you will only be successful if you are both determined to get there and confident that you will. Use an approach that you are comfortable with and have confidence in.
