13 days in and felt cranky yesterday even with the patch.  But every time I think of smoking I think to feels better not to be a slave anymore.  I was a slave to this addiction and no I’m free.

Hi, Nts.  You can do this!  We all have good days and we all have bad days.  Former smoker or not.  Today is a new day and you are smoke free, that is a reason to celebrate.  Keep on fighting for the smoke free life that you deserve.  Thanks for posting!  ~QuitCoach Stacey

That's totally normal about the crankiness. It's just the nicodemon trying to get you to light up. He has lots of tricks like that! Stay strong, you're doing great!

Nts,  1 more day and you'll be 2 weeks smoke free and you should be very proud of yourself  as we are of you.  Crankiness is normal when you first quit so take out your frustrations on the forum if you must. Don't worry we can take it, as we've all been there.  It might also help get things off your chest and make you feel better.  Be careful though of the nicodemon as he's always hiding around the corner waiting for you to trip up.  You are in total control of him, not the other way around.  Remember that when you have a craving.  You're on your way to freedom.  Hugs, Lucille.

Thank you all for your support.  My MD told me about this site and I am loving it.  Great to be accountable and with those who know how this feels.  One day at a time!

You have the right attitude Nts! Of the many benefits nonsmokers enjoy is their freedom from slavery to nicotine. Personally, I believe that's the best benefit of all to quitting. And yes, one day at a time is exactly how it's done. Keep marching along that path to life long freedom from smoking :)

    Hi Nts,
Congrats on 13 days!  That's awesome.  And you're almost through the toughest part of this journey, so keep it up.  It is an emotional roller coaster ride at the beginning, but that's temporary.  Welcome and good luck!
