Good decision. I'm 45 and have been smoking since 19. Time for me as well. Today is day 1. I hate smelling like cigarettes and I'm tired of coughing. Not to mention paying $15 a pack!

Hey ladies ..... it's all good (quitting that is). So many benefits once you get through the early days. Biggest one I found was no longer being a slave to nicotine. I hated that it ran my daily life. Pffft! No More!!

Hi there, Stimpy!  Welcome to the forum.  You've mentioned a couple huge reasons why many of us quit smoking.  Once you quit and your sense of smell starts to return, you may even notice the smoke smell even more pungent.  It's never too soon, or too late to quit.  I see your quit date is in 6 days.  Good for you!  Are you planning to quit Cold Turkey or use NRT (nicotine replacement therapy)?  Keep us posted.  ~QuitCoach Stacey
