Well here we go again!  Day two and holding my own so far.  This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do.  Really wish I could go back an kick my own ass for ever starting. Actually it is my Dad’s ass I should probably kick, but that is a whole different emotional issue.  Let’s not go there.  Just wanted everyone to know, I am still out here.  Still fighting, and have not given up.  It is tough, I can not hide from it, it is all around me.  Makes it hard to be strong, when there is always a reminder in my face all the time.  But at least my home and vehicle are smoke free, and always have been.  At least I got that.  Hope everyone is healthy, ✌️.

My parents smoked in our car, house, bathroom, bedrooms, walking beside us, malls, elevators, theatres, offices, at dinner, beside us on the couch. what chance would i have of good example. they gave me 'permission' at 16 to smoke.  where did i learn it was ok to smoke? It took me 40 years to quit. Next week Ill be 58 and smoke free for 2 yrs. DONT SMOKE IN FRONT OR NEAR YOUR KIDS. It doesn't help their future.

Hello Mr. Roberts and welcome back.  I guess you're ready for another round at this and that's awesome.  There will always be smokers around you and I know it's difficult when you see it all the time but you and only you can take control.  Have you contacted the quit coaches for help, I'm sure it will help you a lot.  They will work with you day by day and with their help and ours you can do this.  We've all faught hard against the nicodemon and he's a force to be reckoned with but sometimes we just have to put our foot down and chase him back to hell where he belongs.  Therefore Mr. Roberts, he's the one that deserves his ass kicked not you and not your dad.  Again use the tools that you gathered on your last quit and learn from the previous quits how to avoid the pitfalls.  Believe in yourself,  build up that confidence and support your quit.  Hugs and good to have you back on the forum, Lucille.
