I did it! One year smoke free. I can't believe it! The journey has not ended because of being smoke free for one year. I have learned alot about myself and my triggers this past year. I know that whatever life gives me, a cigarette would never be the answer.  It has taken me five times to stay smoke free for this long. Those times were never failures, but a learning experience along the way. I am so blessed to have a wonderful and caring community of people on Quitnow. I hope that I can give back what this community has given me. Thank you all for the support I was given. NOPE, not one puff ever.

So happy for you Tammy - way to go!! The one year mark is an absolutely humbling experience. To over come our addiction to nicotine is an amazing experience! Be sure to treat yourself large on this anniversary because you will only feel this way once. It's special!
If I could take a snapshot of your words, it would make the perfect incentive for others just starting out. There is so much to be gained by quitting and you have described it perfectly. Wear your 1 Year Badge proudly Tammy ..... you've worked hard for it and you deserve it!

What an absolutely amazing milestone Tammy!  Huge high five!  It takes many a lot of attempts before some finally do quit for good, and your post will give a lot of hope and encouragement to those who've had to try a few times.  I hope you have something special planned for this awesome achievement!

Tammy,  high fives to you on reaching this huge milestone.  It may have been difficult but you've proven to everyone that determination goes a long way in achieving success.  Take a moment to celebrate and reward yourself for all your excellent work in staying quit.  We are all so proud of you and wish you continued success as you approach your second year.  There are no failures when it comes to leave this addiction behind, only greater benefits and a healthier life.  If per chance you ever need us again,  we'll be here and we look forward to hearing all about your next journey.  Hugs and all the best,  Lucille.

Tammy, you can volunteer anytime you feel like it.  You don't need anyone's permission to do so and I'm sure it would encourage many quitters.  If you want to stay accountable, it's a good way to do it.  Hugs, Lucille.
