mamabear, when cravings hit, take deep breaths, count to 5 and exhale.  Drink plenty of water and distract yourself by doing puzzles, crosswords, cooking or anything else that will keep your hands and mind busy and off cigarettes.  1 week for you already is awesome.  I noticed in your picture that you have a little one.  Do it for her or him  as well because she or he will  be needing you for a good long time.  What a sweetie.   If by chance you find it very difficult try giving the quit coaches a call at 1-877-455-2233 for one on one help.  The service is absolutely free as well as the call.  you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by giving them a call.  Lucille.

Mamabearx3, congrats on your 8 days, that is amazing, and welcome to the forum.  Sounds like you are busy with little ones, so a great reason to quit.  Good luck, and try to hang in there, find a distraction when you have those cravings.

Congrats mamabearx3 for getting through your first week of being smoke free. As for the withdrawal symptoms you are experiencing just remember this will pass.  Congrats and keep up the good work, being smoke free is worth it!

    Hi Mamabear
And welcome to the forum.  10 days is awesome!  Keep it up, it should start getting easier real soon.  Practice the 5 D's when a craving hits and keep posting. It helps knowing that you are not alone in this.  Good luck.
