Had dental surgery and so decided now would be a good time to not smoke because healing can be effected.

KO, dental surgery can be quite painful if you smoke.  I had what they call dry sockets everytime I had a tooth out. Healing would take forever and antibiotics didn't work very well. I really hope you keep up with your quit because there are so many other benefits that will arise.  You've already gone 3 days and that's fantastic.  Just letting you know that you are not alone in this and if you need us  we will be more than happy to help you in any way we can.  Much love, Lucille.

Planned or not, you will not regret this very positive decision. Welcome to the forum, and if you are determined, you WILL succeed. Your body has already begun to heal, and with a positive outlook, and a little help, ( such as NRT and this forum) you will come out the winner. Feel free to share all your ups and downs, we've all been there. :) And will be there for you .

Awesome KO!  You are doing great and you won't regret your decision to quit, planned or not.  It's one of the best decisions you will ever make for yourself.  Keep it up, it might be a little tough the first week or two but it does get easier.  Good luck.
