Meet Susie B
I have tried to quit smoking more times than I can count. I also tried a lot of ways; patches, pills, inhalers, lozenges, gum, hypnosis, acupuncture etc. They either had no effect on quitting or had side effects too great to continue. Smoke free days lasted a couple of weeks to a few months, with great discomfort!

This time is different. I quit cold turkey with only a day or two advance quit date. (meaning I needed to finish smoking the cigarettes I still had) I needed to act on the motivation I had right away.

Quitting this time was different than any time before and the reason is because I knew deep down I would never be able to control the cigarettes, I could only control whether I smoked them or not. I did not want to be an addict any more. I wanted to be, and live, a life of something other than an addict. Now everything I do to be healthy is in alignment.

I used the Pulse Technique by Jo Dunning three times. The entire technique takes about five minutes, where (in part) I would deeply focus my attention on everything I could think of that I didn't like about smoking. I would really feel it and then let it go. I know it helped because this time is so different than all the times before, and I really believe I am done with smoking for good.

I'm 63 days smoke free and smoking is so far behind me it may as well be 63 weeks.
