After smoking for over forty years, Bob and Joan made the decision to quit once they both received health scares. Bob’s diagnosis of COPD, and Joan’s development of a constant, chest rumbling cough, helped them decide that “enough is enough, time to quit!”
Joan became an active member of the QuitNow Online community, and gained support from the daily emails and congratulatory notices. Not to mention the support, inspiration, and motivation she received from other members on the site, all of which she shared with Bob. Joan still visits the site daily and loves to help motivate others who are struggling or unsure of their commitment.
Since quitting, they have both noticed a marked improvement in their health, as well as in their wallets. Combined they were spending around $500 per month on cigarettes!
The Greens advice to other quitters is to not put off quitting any longer, and don’t be afraid to ask for help, including using nicotine replacement therapy. “You never know which cigarette will be the one that seals your fate”.
