QuitNow By TXT Overview

Get support anywhere, anytime with text messages customized to your quit date. Text key words for additional help when you need it the most.

QuitNow By TXT is a 14 week mobile texting service that delivers motivational tips to smokers who plan to quit within the next 30 days, and those who have already quit. Only BC residents are eligible for the program.

  • 1. Register by Cell Phone
    Sign up using the 654321 shortcode.

    Text QUITNOW to 654321. As outlined in more detail below standard message and data rates may apply, you will receive on average 2 messages per day.

    When you register by Cell, two things will happen:

    1. You will be prompted to text back your Quit Date in yyyy-mm-dd format
    2. Text back the word  ACCEPT  and you'll start receiving text messages

    Important: You will not be charged for this service, but standard message and data rates may apply, including global roaming charges if you travel outside the country. Check with your mobile provider.

    To Unsubscribe from this service: Text STOP to 654321 to cancel or log into QuitNow Online and unsubscribe under QuitNow Services.

    Subscribe to QuitNow By TXT at the same time you register for QuitNow Online

    You can subscribe to our QuitNow By TXT service at the same time you register for QuitNow Online. Or you can go back to My Subscriptions to add the TXT service. Complete the Online Registration Form & 3 things will happen:

    1. You'll be sent a confirmation email & TXT message
    2. Click the link in your email to ACTIVATE your online account
    3. Text back  ACCEPT  to 654321 to start receiving messages

    Note: Once you join QuitNow Online you'll have access to members-only tools and supports to help you quit.
